Casa da Cerejinha, which was made available to Rural Tourism, was in a severe state of disrepair in 1993, being a danger to public safety, as one of its walls was in the iminence of collapsing onto the street. Its typical character, being a special house with a walkway, and its location were some of the reasons that led to its reconstruction. The house had two floors, with the first floor being used for dwelling, and the ground floor was composed by two stores, both with direct access to the street: one was used to store animals and the other was an agricultural warehouse. Its reconstruction, carried out by local specialists in stone and woodworking, strictly respected the original architecture, thus creating a house-museum adapted to the demands of the 21st century.
