a Casa da Cerejinha

 

Casa da Cerejinha, which was made available to Rural Tourism, was in a severe state of disrepair in 1993, being a danger to public safety, as one of its walls was in the iminence of collapsing onto the street. Its typical character, being a special house with a walkway, and its location were some of the reasons that led to its reconstruction.The house had two floors, with the first floor being used for dwelling, and the ground floor was composed by two stores, both with direct access to the street: one was used to store animals and the other was an agricultural warehouse. Its reconstruction, carried out by local specialists in stone and woodworking, strictly respected the original architecture, thus creating a house-museum adapted to the demands of the 21st century.


Casa da Cerejinha is a centuries-old construction using the typical building materials of the region: schist, pebbles and chestnut wood. Equipped with adequate furniture, the house has a large living room with a fireplace, two double bedrooms, WC e bathroom. The living room. The living room is distinguished by the presence of a schist kitchenett and a traditional fireplace, thus giving a cozy atmosphere with a table typical of the region. The bedrooms, one in each floor; the attic has a single room as well. Guests may enjoy a 30-meter garden with a variety of plants, a picnic table and where they can get firewood.

 

In addition, the house offers various amenities, such as the possibility of placing a baby bed, baby accessories, satellite TV, firewood, heating in all rooms, a bathroom with shower, books, guides and games, as well as a full kitchen. Access to a garden area includes a picnic table, a hammock and an area for washing and drying clothes, providing a complete and comfortable stay.
